A Doctor’s Advice to Buy a Pair of Prescription Eyeglasses
Last year, I had an accident and hurt my eyes seriously. After an operation, there was a scar on the eyelid. If one stood close to me, he would see the scar very clearly. I was very pained because, at my age, the beautiful appearance was on top of my concerns. That is not to say, I was in an endless pursuit of beauty. Just as the saying goes that a woman has an inherent love of beauty, the scar had a bad influence. I could not imagine what a bad impression I left on those people who saw me at first sight. It made my mother’s heartache to see my upset and negative emotions. I asked my mother what I should do frequently and she was very even more anxious. Finally, a suggestion gave by my doctor solved my problem – to wear a pair of prescription glasses.
One day, my mother came home from the hospital and wore a big smile on her face. She came to my room as soon as she arrived. I was doing my study at that moment and gazed at her for a while. I asked her what was wrong with her in an interrogative tone of voice. She was out of breath and did not answer my question immediately. She went directly to the computer beside me and opened it very skillfully. She remained silent when she moved the computer mouse quickly. Within several clicks, she finally stopped. I eventually knew that she logged in to an online glasses store. She heaved a sigh of relief and asked me to stop my homework for some time.
I saw the website address of the online store was www.glassespeople.com and there were many different types of eyeglasses frames on the site. Some of them looked familiar. I was thinking about where I had seen them before and my mother’s words interrupted my train of thought. Most of the eyeglasses on the site were in new trend and welcomed among the customers. What’s more, the average prices of the eyeglasses were really much lower. But I still wondered about my mother’s real purpose to ask me to see this online store. It turned out to be my doctor’s advice. My mother decided to buy a pair of prescription eyeglasses which could be used to cover my scar to some extent as well as to correct my poor eyesight problem.
